About Me

In Upstate South Carolina, JDew is widely recognized by sports fans as the longtime on-court hype man for Clemson University’s men’s and women’s basketball teams or as the “Director of Fun” and on-field emcee for the Greenville Drive, a minor-league affiliate of the Boston Red Sox for many seasons. Whether on the court or field, JDew engages with fans by leading them in singing, dancing, and giving out prizes at every event.

JDew’s passion for theatre has also brought him to several Greenville, South Carolina stages. He has performed in notable productions such as To Kill a Mockingbird, Dracula, The Piano Lesson, and the musical revue Motown Magic.

In 2008, while working as a videographer for an interview with Wilfred J. Walker, Sr., JDew was deeply moved by the untold stories, legends, and achievements of African Americans that were not reaching younger generations. This inspiration led him to create “One Voice: A Black History Narrative,” a stage performance that debuted at the Warehouse Theatre in Greenville, SC, in 2011. The show’s powerful impact led to requests from local businesses for repeat performances on their campuses.

JDew has since taken “One Voice” on the road, offering performances at schools, corporate events, churches, and special seminars.

When he’s not performing or building his financial education company, JDew enjoys spending time with his four children in Greenville, SC.
